Golf Club Description

The club is one of the oldest in France having been created in 1923 by Henry Cotton, it was renovated in 1968. It lies some 2 kms above the attractive alpine town of Megève at around 1300 metres. Megève is well known for its winter and summer sporting activities. The course is very popular with cross country skiers in the winter and is only available for golf from 1 June to 31 October. Much of the land around is owned by the family Rothschild and the present Baron is the President of the club. There are wonderful views of the mountains, particularly the snow-capped peaks of the Aiguilles Croche. The Clubhouse is built in local chalet style with a large sunny terrace facing the course, it has an excellent kitchen.

Golf Club Directions

From Geneva, autoroute A 40, exit Sallanches. Direction Megève to center, then direction Mont d'Arbois.
