| | This course was most welcome in a region where golf playing facilities are few and far between. laid out over a moderately hilly terrain by Hugues Lambert in a rather more American style than British, it features water hazards on half a dozen or so holes. From the front-tees, and despite the sloping fairways, the course can be played by golfers of all abilities, with the possible exception of the 16th, a difficult par 4 where the green is surrounded by water. The course unfolds in a pleasant manner without ever being outstanding, and trees are often very much in play (on the 13th, for example). And even though drainage work is now complete, the best time to play here is between May and October. The greens are of average size and difficulty, and are sufficiently flat and bunkerless to appeal to all handicaps. |
